Looking for a good book?

According to The Millionaire Next Door, the average millionaire reads one non-fiction book a month! How many books have you read this year? I enjoy reading to broaden my horizons and to learn new skills. When I was young, I admit, I did not read as much, but that was because I was too busy playing with Legos! Now that I am older (and still play with Legos) I take more time to read because I see the importance of it.

Below I've written a brief review of a couple of the latest books I've read. If you are interested in working in the theme park industry, check out the reading list on the right.

Jump Start Your Business Brain
This book by Doug Hall is an exciting read that will surely get your ideas stirring on how to improve your business. Doug's book is based on facts and research, which I like. His book will teach you how to create and analyze ideas for your business, marketing and products in a critical and scientific manner.

The E-Myth Revisited
Are you thinking about starting your own business? If so, then STOP! Take time out before you get too far to read this book by Michael Gerber. This book will help you to lay the right mind set, and more importantly, the right expectations for starting your business. If you are going to invest a lot of time and effort into creating a business, then get started right by reading this book.

The Total Money Makeover
Dave Ramsey is best known for his radio talk show on money. Over many years Dave developed the steps presented in this book to help you change your view on money. Yes, the book title is a little cheesy, but you know what? The education this book provides is outstanding. When have you ever been taught how to handle money? Well, now it is time for an education. Pick up this book and tune in Dave's radio show or TV show on the Fox Business Network.

48 Days to the Work you Love
Dan Miller is a career coach and the author of this book. His web site has a wealth of resources to study further into finding your passion and the work you will love. I listened to the audio version of this book and enjoyed most of it. Dan offers practical advice, good stories and a plan for helping you to achieve success. I suggest also tuning into his podcast or checking out his latest book, No More Mondays.
